Classes

Bom dia Alegria! classes are one hour long, with an european Portuguese native teacher. They’re activity and play based so students can learn in a fun and natural way! They’re very interactive, with Portuguese culture incorporated into the lessons. They are held on an online platform with homework assignments to be completed after the lesson.

During classes, our main focus is on speaking and listening skills. We might also cover reading, depending on the ability of the children. Reading and writing is mostly practised during homework. For homework you will have access to a google sheet where there’ll be suggestions for further activities, writing exercises,  sheets to print and other additional online resources that help to reinforce the lessons' vocabulary. Some of the suggested activities and projects are possible (and encouraged!) to be made in collaboration with other members of the family, so that you can learn and practise Portuguese together!

* Bom dia Alegria! The name is a common expression that we use to greet people in the morning, in the same way that an English speaker would say “Good morning sunshine!”. Its literal translation is good morning joy.
